This is a model, made by Corgi, of the car from the popular TV series of the 1960’s.
Corgi released the Thrushbuster to tie in with The Man From UNCLE the TV series.

It was original finished in dark blue bodywork with The Man from UNCLE logo on the bonnet and green tinted windows.

It featured swivelling spotlamps on the front wings, a rooftop clicker that operated the gun-firing figures inside and cast wheel hubs. It also came with a Waverly ring showing alternating photos of Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kuryakin.

Corgi produced also the very rare white version in a limited edition, so there for has the correct cream interior and not the yellow as in the dark blue version.

Here's an absolutely immaculate and extremely difficult to find Corgi 497 Man From UNCLE Oldsmobile Thrushbuster, the original model and box from 1966 released to tie in with the TV series, in the very rare white colour (much more common in blue), complete with ALL the original inner packing and original Waverly ring, plus an original Join The Corgi Model Club collectors leaflet.

The beautiful white version of this fantastic Oldsmobile car is one of the hardest Corgi TV collectables to track down anywhere
NOTE: In some of the photos alongside, the car looks 'bright white' and in others almost 'cream'... this is purely a trick of the light and how the camera interprets each shot. (The actual colour is a light creamy white).

The model, with rooftop clicker operating gun-firing figures inside, swivelling front wing spotlights and cast wheel hubs, is in perfect mint condition, with a beautiful bright bonnet decal (none of the usual glue tarnish here!)

The original box which also includes the original Waverly ring, plus the card protector ring for the rooftop clicker and the original red and yellow arrow disc that sits on top - rarely found these days on other Thrushbusters sold!

Also present is an original Join The Corgi Model Club leaflet, plus the big piece of protective white card that has kept the box in such great shape and done its job protecting the model.

Very very rare dual numbered corgi husky man from uncle car in mint untouched condition including the blister bubble pack.

The card had been factory numbered 1005 for sale in the UK market which was subsequently overprinted with 4 black cross out lines and the number 1205 printed for the American market.

The factory obviously found this to be a cost cutting exercise at the time instead of having to reprint the whole card again!
